OUR LOVE STORY

“When God writes the story, alignment is effortless.”

We met through PlanNet Marketing in London in September 2023, where something between us clicked instantly — a quiet spark, an easy understanding, a familiarity that neither of us could explain. What began as a natural friendship kept pulling us closer, and by December we found ourselves traveling to Tokyo together, creating memories that made it clear we had something rare.

But timing matters.

Shedrick wasn’t ready to commit, still thinking he had time. Connie’s heart took the hit — and Ben & Jerry’s did its best to pick up the emotional slack — but deep down, she knew our story wasn’t finished. Even from a distance, the connection never fully disappeared. God simply wasn’t done aligning us.

Then came the shift.

During a pivotal season in Shedrick’s life, clarity hit hard. When his chef Gregg asked who “the one that got away” was, Connie’s name came out without hesitation. And when he opened up to Connie’s dear friend Leah, she said plainly:

“Step up and be who she needs. She’s an amazing woman — don’t let her get away.”

She even offered to be his wingman.

That conversation lit a fire.

Shedrick reached out.

Connie answered.

And just like that, everything started aligning in a way that felt calm, grown, and God-ordained.

By the time Connie’s birthday approached, he asked if he could celebrate her properly — with intention this time. What started as a simple birthday plan unfolded into a trip to Aruba, then Barbados, filled with peace, laughter, healing, and that deep knowing you only feel once in a lifetime.

On a beach in Barbados, with everything thoughtfully prepared, Shedrick asked Connie to share her future with him — the same future she had quietly hoped would one day be theirs — and she said yes.

Our journey has been a story of friendship, timing, forgiveness, and divine alignment.

A reminder that God restores what is meant, that second chances are real, and that home isn’t a place — it’s a person.

On December 12, 2025, we’ll stand before God, family, and friends to say “I Do,” carrying with us the certainty that guided us back to one another.

Because love, when anchored in grace, always finds its way home.
